SCART

What doesn't kill you makes you more beautiful.

Life is made up of all sorts of marks. Whether it's the visible pain and wounds, the invisible heartbreak from various conflicts and conversations, or the smile lines of happiness and joy, or the ring mark on the ring finger after weathering storms, every mark is a precious trace of life.
As long as we live, we inevitably have to make choices, leave our mark, and then forge our own path. The accumulation of experience comes from constantly engaging in dialogue with ourselves and the world. While embracing our dreams, we must also muster the courage to confront the conflict between ideals and reality. In our busy and hectic lives, we must balance health and work, bravely fight against obstacles, retain our gentle kindness, and patiently wait for time to bring about fruition.

As LYNLI Jewelry has grown over the years, the owners and team have started families, taken on many new challenges, undergone several surgeries, and experienced physical exhaustion, resulting in numerous scars from healed wounds. The three-year pandemic further prompted the owners and team to reflect on how, as a jewelry design brand, they can answer these inevitable questions in life: How can they coexist with these marks, good or bad, remember these experiences, and continue moving forward?

【SCART】is a combination of the words 'Scar' and 'Art'. If metal and gemstones are the flesh and bones of jewelry, then paint and paper are the flesh and bones of art, the foundation of creative expression. After numerous experiments, the forms of paint dripping and paper folding became the design theme of this 'Scar' series.

The inspiration for the three-dimensional craftsmanship and organic lines comes from paper and paint, like the flesh and blood of an artist, transforming the folded paper structure and the shapes of paint droplets into pure silver metal. After countless repetitions of origami modeling and paint application, creating numerous experimental shapes, trying various structural combinations, adjusting weight and size, and refining wax sculpture models, the final step of casting and mass production can be achieved, making it a piece of jewelry that can be worn every day.

For this "Traces of Life" collection, we've chosen classic black and white—black pearl and opal—as the representative gemstones. The metallic structure concentrates light and reflects it onto the gemstones, making the opal's iridescent colors even more radiant and the black pearl's color more warm and full. The smooth, gentle luster carries LYNLI Jewelry's blessings for every warrior of life.

During the jewelry design process, the brand team also created a series of sky paintings depicting different times of day, from day to night. They hope that viewers can find a painting that resonates with their own state of mind, creating a connection and dialogue. The paintings will be exhibited in a tour across northern, central, and southern Taiwan. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the paintings will be donated to a cancer foundation.
